This exciting lower manual bass unit has the same waveshaping circuit and operating principle as the Nova Bass III, which was utilized by Groove Holmes in the late seventies (and featured heavily on the album Broadway). It installs in less then 30 minutes and adds 16 foot string bass to the manual of a tonewheel console. The BassMon will fit all Hammond Organ consoles no matter how old they are, and features four presets that can be used on the fly: 16 foot, 16 foot + 8 foot, 16 foot with pluck, and 16 foot + 8 foot with pluck. The ‘Pluck’ is subtle, almost a percussion effect, but at 16 foot pitch.
The BassMon works on the bottom three octaves of the organ manual to which it is installed, and no invasion of any manual wiring or extra switches are needed. Our friends at Speakeasy can also do a customization of the BassMon to create a separate line out for a bass amp (call us for details).
