A High-Power
Alternative to a Tube Amplifier Leslie

The Hammond organ and Leslie speaker are synonomous
with classic Rock, Blues, Jazz , Gospel, Country and
other music styles. However, some live-music situations
require a higher power alternative due to many factors,
including proximity to other high volume amplifiers, lack
of stage monitor equipment, etc. The 771 was specifically
designed for use with new Hammond XB Series organs and
the XB-2 Keyboard. It offers the professional or church
musician a true high power Leslie option when more power
is required a single Leslie cabinet, and similar sound
and operation to the classic 147/122 series speaker is
desired. Equipped with a 90 watt Bass Amplifier and 50
watt horn amplifier, the 771 has a total power handling
capability of 150 watts RMS, as compared to the 40 watt
RMS rating of a 122 or 147 tube amplifier.

Any Similarities
Between the 771 and the 122/147 Series are Purely
Intentional

The 771 was specifically designed to model the sound
and operation of a classic 122 or 147 Leslie to the
greatest extent possible. The 771 cabinet is identical to
the 122 Series and 147A cabinet, and it’s 60 watt horn
driver, 100 watt 15″ woofer, motor operation, etc.
are essentially similar, as are the original design upper
rotating horn and lower rotating rotor.

Perfect for early
Hammond Organs when higher power is required

The Leslie Model 771 is equipped with an 11-pin
connector, but can easily be used with older Hammond
organs including models B-3, C-3, A-100, and most other
was console and spinet models when used in conjunction
with a Leslie Connector Kit. Additional information on

Use with Keyboards
or other 1/4″ devices

Any 1/4″ output device (Keyboard, MIDI Module,
etc.) can be played through a 122 Series, 147 Series or most
6, 9, and 11-pin Leslie Models with the addition of a
Trek Model UC-1A Pedal Preamp.   The Pedal Preamp has
1/4″ input and Leslie cable output, and
“Stomp” style footswitch control of Leslie
motor switching. Specific Pedal Preamp details and

  • 771 – Walnut Cabinet, 11-Pin Leslie Connector for
    Direct Plug-In to Hammond XB series organs and
    Hammond XB-2 Keyboard, new 11-pin 30′ Leslie
    cable included
  • NOTE: Leslie Connector Kits are available which
    allow the use of the Leslie 771 with most early
    tonewheel generator and newer Hammond organs.
    Depending upon specific organ and Leslie models,
    separate channel mixing and selection may or may
    not be available.

    A Pedal Preamp will allow
    the Leslie 771 and most other 6, 9 and 11-pin
    Leslie models to be used with any keyboard or
    other 1/4″ device, however no provision is
    made for separate channel mixing or selection in
    multi-channel models.

    Some Leslie models are especially suited for
    certain Hammond Organ models. Some early Model
    Leslie’s cannot be easily connected to Hammond
    organs or other manufacturers organs or
