What we like about this organ is the fact that it is a self contained instrument (It has an internal Leslie rotating speaker) and it has the midi voices that many of our players insist on. We consider this a more affordable version of the XB-3M. The A-305 is a great organ for the small church or for a funeral home, or anyone who wants a Hammond on a limited budget.

With an enclosed speaker system, drawbars, extra voices, 90 presets, disk drive, sequencing plus a fine locking cabinet, the A305, with its very affordable price, is the perfect choice for the small church or sanctuary.

New Sampling Technology

Now, an all-new sound engine captures not only the sound and feel of a Hammond Tone Wheel Generator, but high-quality digital voices and sounds as well. Hammond has recreated the idiosyncrasies of the electro-mechanical tone wheel generator, such as the Drawbar foldbacks at the top and bottom octaves, the variances in key click, and the effect of overdriving an amplifier. The total effect of the A-305 is the sound and feel of the B-3 right down to the new six-position Vibrato and Chorus Control Knob.

Extra Voice

The A-305 contains a complete General MIDI-compatible voice library consisting of over 270 high-quality digitally sampled sounds such as Stereo Grand Piano, Stereo Strings, even a new breathy Stereo Saxophone. In addition, 10 drum kits are provided to further enhance your playing. And, you can use the Drawbars to adjust the volume of the Extra Voices while you’re playing.

Presets

Nine programmable Presets are available for Swell, Great and Pedal divisions . These can be easily programmed with your own settings.

Disk Drive

Using this feature, you can record and store your own Preset Banks or complete performances, as well as play back Standard MIDI File data.

MIDI

The A-305 can perform in virtually any MIDI environment. SEND and RECEIVE channels are programmable. And the manuals can be 'mapped' to selectively play the internal voices or voices from a connected MIDI device.

Leslie® Ready

A high-quality digital Leslie is provided, with adjustments for Slow and Fast Speeds, Rise, Fall and Brake Times, and even Microphone Settings. The model 814 Leslie Speaker cabinet is recommended for use with the A-305: however, any 11-pin Leslie Speaker cabinet can be used, including single-channel Leslies. The rotors can be operated in three modes - Off, Slow or Fast.
